Soil Salt Bioremediation

The concept of Microbes was introduced to an agriculture production company to help mitigate their salt problems. The location, close to the Pacific Ocean, was experiencing low germination of lettuce seedlings due to saline soils. Results under sample A were from the commercial fertilizer company’s recommendations; results under sample B were treated with TTT BFMS™ microbes. The results were analyzed 30 days post treatment. Note the differences and lower values of Electrical conductivity (ECe), Calcium (Ca) Magnesium (Mg), Sodium (Na), Chlorine (Cl) Nitrates (N), and Sulfates (SO4). The costs for materials from the fertilizer company’s treatment was approximately twice to that of TTT BFMS™ and as evident the results were inversely proportional.

A = Chemical Company applying N phuric 15-0-0-49 @ 80 gals/ac
B = Tainio BMFS microbes applied. Notice how the nitrates, sodium, magnesium, calcium, sulfates, ECe and chlorine have been reduced in both locations. (30 days after application of Tainio’s BFMS™ products).

BFMS™ Salt Bioremediation

Salt water intrusion is becoming prevalent in the Coastal California areas due to the fluctuations of the aquifers. Using Tainio’s BFMS™ soil microbes is a simpler way to mitigate the incidence of salt build up or salt water intrusion before installing expensive Reverse Osmosis systems.
TTT BFMS™ was applied on 5/10/2001 to a field that was exhibiting salt burn. The bottom leaves with a red border are a result of salt burn. See the University of California NaCl (sodium chloride) effects on strawberry leaves.

Approximately 10 days after treatment, note the green leaves in the center are not burning and are high in potassium. (biotransmutation)

Note the same plant below approximately 30+ days after initial treatment of TTT BFMS™.
